Been Busy

I haven't been working on this website much in the last few weeks. This website uses the Drupal Content Management Software (CMS software). A new version of Drupal as been released, so for the last few weeks I have been trying to learn more about the upgrade process to be able to upgrade this website. So as to try to avoid crashing this main website, I have set up a test website to experiment with and test the new software before installing it on this website. ths has take up a lot of my time.

I've also been prepareing to change over our church website, Kingwood Bible Church, from being a billboard (you just go there to read information) to being more of a community interactive website. I have been trying to determine if I should use this same Drupal website, or if I should use Joomla! CMS. To compare the differences in these two sotware, I have also set up a Joomla!  test website for the church website. Joomla! is prettier right out of the box, and might be easier for the other users to use, but I think Drupal would give the church more capabilities, but it would be a lot more work for me to set up. I'm also concerned that if another webmaster would someday take over the church website, it would be more of a challenge for him to maintain and upgrade Drupal.

I say all of this to say much of my time has been spent on those projects, with not much time left for this website. I hope to get back to adding more info to this website. I still need to organize the content and the menu system better. I really want to upgrade to the new version of Drupal  very soon.
