Shipping RV Cushions
When you order RV cushions from us, you may either order just the covers and you purchase the foam elsewhere, or you may purchase the complete cushions, the fabric cover and the foam, from us.
Shipping Covers only
If you purchase just the custom-made covers, then the cost of shipping is very minimal in comparison. All we are shipping is just the fabric cover.
When we have the job finished we would fold or roll the cushion covers, package them, and ship the cushion covers to you. You would then stuff the cushions yourself. To see pictures of RV cushions that were shipped rolled up, click here. To see these pictures as a slideshow, click here. (These covers were rolled up because the client had ordered extra fabric, which was shipped on a roller)
However, if you want to also purchase the foam from us (so that it is the right size for the cover), then the cost of shipping will be substantially more. Just a note, in addition to the three options given below, the quality of the foam you chose will also affect the cost of the shipping. For example, the medium quality foam weighs about half again as much as the low quality. The high quality foam weighs about twice as much as the low quality foam, so each quality of foam will vary in shipping cost. In addition to that information, here is some information about the various ways we can have foam shipped.
Shipping Cushions with New Foam
If you want us to make new RV cushions, including new foam, you have 3 basic choices of how to ship them
1. Ship Empty Cushion Covers and foam separately.
After you place the order we have the foam shipped directly from our supplier to you. The foam is usually shipped in a compressed form. When the foam is received, it should be unwrapped immediately to lessen compression damage to the foam.

On most types of fabrics this works well. However, in the rare even that you choose to have your cushions covered in velvet, folding the covers often leave fold marks (creases) where the fabric was folded. In this case you might want to have the cushions shipped whole (see below).
2.Ship Filled Cushion Covers - Compressed
After we sew up the cover, we stuff the new foam into the covers. Then the cushions are compressed (rolled and/or folded) to make the package as small as possible. The advantage is that the shipping cost is less than #3 below. However, rolling the cushions can cause wrinkles* in the fabric, and you might need to re-align the foam in the covers. *Some fabrics wrinkle more than others. If you want you cushion shipped using this option, ask our advice.
3. Ship Filled Cushion Covers - Packaged full size
After we sew the covers, we stuff the new foam into covers. Then the cushions are packaged full size, in heavy plastic wrap or in boxes. Because of the large size of the packages, the shipping of the cushions cost a lot more than the other ways. The advantage is that the cushions come ready to use and you normally won't have to readjust the filling or to try to get rid of the wrinkles that are caused by folding or compressing the covers or the cushions. While it cost more to have the covers shipped shipped like this, it saves you a lot of headache of trying to stuff the cushions yourself.
