Rough Estimates, for modern furniture 

The price chart gives a rough estimate for various types and styles of common (non-elegant) modern furniture. (These prices and amounts don't apply to detailed, elegant, vintage or antique furniture.) These Labor prices* and yardage amounts* are estimated, and these labor prices are based upon:

• furniture that is in good condition (springs, frame, and all paddings are OK as-is)
• prices are for the labor, some basic supplies, and standard upholstery fabric. prices do not include replacing padding and does not include cushion filling or foam.
• using fabrics purchased from us at the time the order is written. (Note: when using Customer's Own Materials the labor is not subsidized and will be charged accordingly. For more info, go here: Using Customer's Own Fabric)
• using plain or allover pattern fabrics* that don't need to be matched.
• the below labor prices do not include alterations, extra work, unusual furniture or antiques, which are priced on an individual basis.
• there will be additional labor and other charges for working in vinyl or leather.

We are a custom upholstery shop.  We can cover your furniture in a number of different ways. The actual labor prices and yardages amounts could be different for your furniture depending upon what we do to your furniture. (See details at the bottom of this page.)

There are a lot of vaiables in upholstery (i.e. different furniture styles and conditions, fairly new and in good condition, or old, vintage, or needing lots of work, etc.) This price list attempts to show those variables to give you at least an idea of what your upholstery job might cost.
